8,000 euros for the reconstruction of the central respiratory protection workshop of the Künzelsau Volunteer Fire Department

For the sixteenth time, the Albert Berner Foundation, Sparkasse Hohenlohekreis and Rotary Club Künzelsau-Öhringen are supporting projects in the Hohenlohe region. This year, the donation went in full to the Künzelsau Volunteer Fire Department. Due to a storm, which devastated large parts of the Hohenlohe district on May 29, 2016, volunteers who kept a cool head in an exceptional situation were also affected. In the summer of 2016, the Foundation had already provided financial assistance to volunteers who had suffered damage to their private property.
Despite the willingness to donate from many sides, it had not yet been possible for the Künzelsau Volunteer Fire Department to rebuild its central respiratory protection workshop. The central respiratory protection workshop is an important part of the daily work of the fire department to prepare used respiratory protection equipment for the next mission. The proceeds from the benefit concert will therefore be used to rebuild this important facility. The Albert Berner Foundation increased the proceeds from the benefit concert from nearly 7,000 euros to a total of 8,000 euros.

Popular event series

The benefit concert is organized annually by the Albert Berner Foundation, Sparkasse Hohenlohekreis and Rotary Club Künzelsau-Öhringen. The concert series has become an established part of Künzelsau’s cultural program and is well-known far beyond the borders of the Hohenlohe district. At the concert on November 11, 2016, music enthusiasts were thrilled by the quality of the musicians: under the direction of Zohar Lerner, pianist Olga Scheps and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn provided an unforgettable evening for 240 guests in the Sparkasse Hohenlohekreis concert hall.

Albert Berner Foundation

The non-profit Albert Berner Foundation was established in 1995 to mark the 60th birthday of its namesake, Albert Berner. The Albert Berner Foundation pays particular attention to the long-term nature of the projects it supports, in addition to the regional factor. For many years, numerous organization and projects have enjoyed the support of the Foundation.
