New Skoda Fabia for the Diakonie
Künzelsau, November 10, 2017: For the tenth time, the Albert Berner Foundation has donated a vehicle to the Künzelsau Diakoniestation, a social welfare organization. A well-stocked fleet is an important prerequisite for the Diakonie to ensure daily home visits to people with care requirements in the region.
Erwin Landwehr, Managing Director of the Künzelsau Diakoniestation, accepted the key to the latest addition to the fleet with a cheerful smile. Right in time for the upcoming winter, the Skoda Fabia Ambition was presented to the Diakonie by Ursula Berner, Chairwoman of the Foundation Council of the Albert Berner Foundation, and Werner Gassert, Deputy Chairman of the Albert Berner Foundation.
“In view of the upcoming cold season, it’s a nice feeling to obtain a new vehicle,” said Birgit Pohl, Head of Nursing Services at the Diakonie, who is on duty every day. Nursing service vehicles are needed to care for the sick and the elderly. Especially in the area of home care, support from outpatient care services such as the Diakonie is vitally important.
The Albert Berner Foundation has supported the Künzelsau Diakoniestation for many years. This vehicle is already the tenth car that has been donated for outpatient care services. Ursula Berner, Chairwoman of the Foundation Council of the Albert Berner Foundation, was very pleased. “The topic of nursing care is particularly close to my heart. I am glad that with the Diakonie we have a reliable partner in the region and that we have also been able to support it for the tenth time.”
The Künzelsau Diakoniestation
The Künzelsau Diakoniestation is an outpatient care service sponsored by the Künzelsau Protestant church district. People are the top priority of the organization. In its work, the Diakonie is committed to enabling all those seeking help to lead a self-determined and dignified life in a familiar environment. Many are aware of the distress caused by being dependent on outside help in an advanced age or in the event of illness when one can no longer cope alone. Family members or friends are not always able to help in mastering the difficulties of daily life. In these situations, it is crucial to find a way forward. Is outside help necessary and is it possible? The Diakoniestation is pleased to inform residents about offers, services and costs so that the best solution can be found.
